Cup 213

coffee cupToday’s Cup 213 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. I’m not sure how many coffees that unsuspecting patron ordered, but I hope it made his day–all $13 bucks and change. It was yet another successful day in the mission of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Cheers

Cup 212

photo-1Today’s Cup 212 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. It was a quick pass of the drive-thru and a $2.40 cup of kindness for the driver of the sedan queued up in my rear-view. Before driving off, I grabbed a shot of the beautiful, spring daffodils on the counter. It was a little bonus in addition to the Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Until next time.

Cup 211

coffee cupToday’s Cup 211 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. As I pulled into the drive-thru, I was greeted by Mama_Bear Barista (from Cups 195 & 196). She happily rang up my espresso and the day’s cup of kindness for my passenger, the day’s recipient. I would have loved to additionally buy a cup for an unsuspecting patron behind me, but no one arrived. Perhaps the drizzly rain or loads of road construction kept the traffic diverted from Starbucks. Who knows? But despite the anti-climactic drive-thru pass, it was another simple day toward Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Until next time. And Mama_Bear Barista, thanks for keeping up those homework efforts with your kiddo. Parents like you rock.

Cup 210

coffee cupToday’s Cup 210 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97307. During a leisurely drive around town, while running errands under a beautiful Saturday afternoon sky, I pulled in to the local drive-thru. The barista happily rang up my order and the cup of kindness for the unsuspecting patron queued up on my rear-view. As the barista rang up both orders, she said: “Oh, this is just so nice of you!” I smiled and replied, “Yep, it’s sort-of my regular routine.” The barista then chuckled a bit and said: “Oh yeah, that’s right, I know you!” I just smiled, once again, for the ordinary, and yet, fun part of my Starbucks routine. I’ve two hundred and ten days down, and another one hundred and fifty-five left to go. So here’s to another round of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. May your next cup be a kind one. Cheers.

Cup 209

coffee cupToday’s Cup 209 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. Under stormy, rainy evening skies, I imagine the driver of the grey minivan sought the same comfort in a hot cup of coffee at our local drive-thru. The barista happily rang up my tall espresso and then swiped my iPhone with those gold-card bonus points. Ba-da-bing, ba-da-boom was the sound of that $4.55 cup of kindness  I sent out to that unsuspecting patron queued up in my rear-view. I hope it made a great end to that driver’s day.

So here’s to another round, all in the spirit of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Until next time and until that next shot of kindness, wherever it may land.

Cup 208

Cup 125Today’s Cup 208 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. As I ordered a cup of iced tea, a white Honda SUV appeared in my rear-view. The barista quickly rang up my drink and the $2.40 cup of goodwill for that unsuspecting patron behind me. It wasn’t much, but yet another day down in the mission of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Until next time, and until that next cup of kindness.

Cup 207

coffee cupToday’s Cup 207 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. Given that it was a dark and stormy evening, I couldn’t determine the make or model of the car queued up in my rear-view. The barista happily rang up both orders and replied: “This is so cool, I love it when people do this…it starts a {pay-it-forward} chain!” I had to admit, I love it too.

Though I don’t know much about that driver, I do know the day’s cup of kindness resulted in a skinny tall mocha. I hope it was well received, after all, it was gifted in the spirit of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Here’s to your next cup of kindness. Until next time.
