Today’s Cup 205 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. As the barista cheerfully handed over my steaming soy latte, I saw the headlights of a white Jeep queue up in my rear-view. The barista gave a quizzical look after seeing me refuse to move from the drive-thru, and only after a quick explanation that I was waiting to pay for the driver behind me, did he clue in to the process. He then had to give me a quick “hold-on a sec,” wave of the hand as the order (into the speaker) continued. And continued. I had to laugh, thinking that driver somehow knew it was a freebie and threw in an extra drink or two. All in all, not enough to break the bank, but enough to send a simple message of cheer. It was six bucks and change, but the real price was another shot of that Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Until next time.

Today’s Cup 204 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. I used some gold card bonus points to pay for the driver of the grey sedan in my rear-view. The barista quickly rang up the items, swiped my card a couple of time…and then he thanked me, and called me Miss, not Ma’am. Imagine that, I’m old enough to be that kid’s mother, yet he called me Miss! How sweet is that? Here’s to another day in the mission to bring a little joy and surprise into my part of the world. Until next time and until that next cup of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope.
Today’s Cup 203 was transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97071. It was a simple transaction, in the chilly morning temperatures, which resulted in my usual latte and a $4.00 cup for the white sedan in my rear-view. It felt good to get back in the swing of things since these past couple of weeks have sidelined my project–only due to timing. But, here it goes, and I’ve only 162 days to go. It’s hard to believe I’ve been at this gig for over two hundred days! So here’s to another day down in the mission of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Until next time.
