Today’s Cup 180 was transacted at Starbucks, 97062. Since I live out in the country, I have to travel a little ways to get to my local Starbucks. This afternoon, I was on my way to ukulele club and looking forward to grabbing a hot latte beforehand. As I made my way for the last several miles toward the store, I noticed a truck in my rear-view. I never imagined it would follow me all the way to the coffee shop!
As I ordered my usual soy latte, I was met by Cranberry Bliss Barista [Cup 95]. It had been a while since we’d seen each other and he was happy to ring up today’s Cup of Kindness. He asked how things were going and said, “Yeah, you’re like 9 months into this thing, aren’t you?” I smiled and explained that I will probably finish up the blog project sometime in the spring–only because my schedule has kept me from following an exact, consecutive schedule. But now that the school year is underway, I will definitely get back to a more regular school, life, work, and blog schedule. That’s for certain.
So, there I was, with a driver behind me and a friendly barista at the the window. For $2.25 it was another cup of goodwill going out to a stranger. It was another cup of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Until next time. Cheers.
