Today’s Cup 82, was attempted at Starbucks, zip code 97401. Interestingly enough, what transpired wasn’t really a cup at all. While away from home for a couple of days, attending a conference for work, I ventured out for a late night coffee run. I thought it would be the perfect end to a successful day working with colleagues. I was in the mood for a soy latte.
As I pulled up to the Starbucks, I realized I was way too late. The shop was closed. Total bummer. I quickly Yelp-apped another Starbucks, down at the University of Oregon campus that stayed open until 11:00 pm, but then thought the better of it. It was nearing bedtime, and although a last cup of decaf sounded good, I decided to opt out of heroics. Instead, I guiltlessly decided today’s Cup of Kindness was to myself. I filled my own cup by heading back to the hotel and tucking myself into bed… But not before signing off on today’s blog post. So here’s hoping tomorrow is a more fruitful journey toward Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope. Good night, sans caffeine and all.
