Today’s cup of kindness was transacted at my favorite Starbucks, zip code 97303. As one my favorite baristas, Mack, rang up my soy latte, he and the bubbly barista greeted me with big Hellos and blog encouragement. This dynamic duo was pleased to see I was paying the $11.90 order for the patron in my rear-view, and the bubbly barista shouted out behind the counter: “I’m so glad, I think it’s going to make her day. She’s one that needs a little something to cheer her up.” I had to laugh. I loved the idea of giving coffee to someone who really needed a boost. As the chronic optimist, I love cheering up a patron or two whose glass might tend to be half-empty.
It was another successful day in the mission of Fully Caffeinated Generosity & Hope. Until tomorrow, and until another round of good laughs with those awesome baristas. Cheers!
