Cup 24

Today’s Cup of Kindness was simply transacted at Starbucks, zip code 97303. It was a tad different from my usual daily coffee mission as this cup of generosity took place during a regular work day.

It was a pretty fruitful morning at work, and resulted in finishing up an important meeting a bit earlier than anticipated. Afterward, a colleague asked if I would be willing to catch up–for another meeting we had tabled, just one too many times during the last few weeks. Given that it was cold and rainy, I quickly suggested we do so over a warm cup of coffee.

While on the way to a local coffee shop, I explained that she was my today’s goodwill gesture. She listened as I shared my inspiration for the blog project, and seemed pleased to wear the badge of Cup 24. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation and talked about what it means to bring kindness and joy into our slice of the world pie. She got a really big coffee, and that made me smile. Maybe there’s no free lunch, but there sure is free coffee. At least in my little world.

And, that meeting? It was fully caffeinated, of course. So here’s to a little cup of inspiration to help get through a busy workday morning. As always, in the spirit of Fully Caffeinated Generosity and Hope.
